I suppose there have been storms all around. Hawaii to the North East. One thing I’ve been craving lately is a nice bowl of soup. I plan on going back to Boston and if Super markets still have food after the crazy snowpocalypse rush making my corn chowder. I want to play in the snow then come in for a hot bowl of soup and some hot chocolate (preferably Dunkin Donuts, their hot chocolate is so good, incredibly rich and cheap. Hah.).
What’s a weird fact about me is that when it’s cold I really like to eat cold foods. Apparently it runs in the family. My dad says on the coldest nights in San Francisco when he was in college, where would he be? An ice cream parlor with my mom because she loved cold things.
I think that I’ve been away from Boston for so long that I won’t even register how cold it is at first. I’m just going to want something to warm me up. But once I get used to the weather all over again, Emacks and Bolios, Ben and Jerry’s; here I come. You would think being in the North East would make a lot of ice cream parlors go out of business over the winter. Wrong. According to my marketing teacher while there is, of course, a spike in business over the summer; ice cream sales stay almost the same in winter. North Easterners know how to live. Ice cream!
What do you crave on those rainy or snowy days?
