“No Screaming Children will be Tolerated”

I feel like there’s a big miscommunication here.  There’s a woman with an autistic child and a restaurant that doesn’t welcome screaming children (it says so with a sign).  It said nothing about autistic children.  The woman with the child has understood the sign to mean that her son is not welcome at this establishment because of his autism he can’t help with the level of his voice.  The restaurant owner doesn’t want to look bad but responded saying she “felt sorry for the other woman for having an autistic child.”  Her sympathy isn’t really wanted nor does it feel sincere.  It’s a miscommunication, even if this is worked out somehow, I have the idea that this woman will not be going to this restaurant very much regardless.

About akindafoodblog

I'm a picky foodie in training. I can't stop talking about food, so writing about it seems like a normal transition. There are so many foods I don't like, and that's a bit of a problem. I don't really know how to cook but I love to bake. So I'm on a culinary journey and I want to invite everyone to join me.
